Tim Burton, the director of classics like Edward Scissorhands, 1989’s Batman, and Ed Wood, revisited one of his most important creations in 2024 when he released the highly anticipated sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The movie was very successful, grossing $452 million on a $100 million budget, and earning a solid 75% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite Warner Bros. intending to capitalize on the success of the franchise, Burton’s recent comments suggest fans should not be expecting another Beetlejuice sequel in the near future. Well, at least, one directed by him.
