It’s been 20 years since the massive sword-and-sandals blockbuster, Troy, was released and became a box office hit with audiences. Wolfgang Petersen’s spectacle was an all-star affair, featuring Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Diane Kruger, Brian Cox, Sean Bean, Brendan Gleeson, and Peter O’Toole. While the film was ostensibly based on Homer’s epic poem The Iliad from the eighth century BC, it deviates heavily from the source material — heavily enough that a recent video spent more than an hour dissecting the movie.
