After 35 years, The Simpsons is losing one of its most beloved cast members. The Simpsons‘ primary cast of characters has grown since the main characters Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie debuted in a series of shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. One particular fan-favorite was Milhouse Van Houten, Bart’s best friend, who debuted in a Butterfinger commercial before becoming part of the main series. Milhouse has often been framed as the square friend to Bart’s cool guy, and some of the series’ best lines have come courtesy of him and his voice actor, Pamela Hayden. But all great things must come to an end.
