Cobra Kai is all about the villains versus heroes storyline. The initial focus was on answering the question of whether Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) was truly the villain of The Karate Kid or if it was actually Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). The story expanded to focus on a new generation of karate kids, many taking the role of a villain through the seasons, like Hawk (Jacob Bertrand), Robby (Tanner Buchanan), and Kenny (Dallas Dupree Young).
