Moana 2 takes place three years after the previous film and sees Moana (Aulii Cravalho) venture back out onto the ocean after a curse hits her homeland. She assembles her own crew and reunites with Maui (Dwayne Johnson) to face down numerous threats. Moana has become one of the crown jewels in Disney’s canon, with the film being the most-watched movie on Disney+, so the news of a sequel was met with a warm welcome.
