Spoiler Alert: Spoilers follow for Venom: The Last DanceOne week into its release, its clear that Venom: The Last Dance isnt quite the massive hit that Sony was hoping for. While the first Venom was a surprise blockbuster despite middling reviews (it hit nearly $1 billion worldwide), and the second was almost as successful, the final chapter has had the lowest opening weekend gross of the entire trilogy. It couldnt have come at a worse time for Sony, coupled with the dire reception to Morbius and Madame Web. Not to mention that 2024 has already proven one of the most dire years for the comic book genre in recent memory.
