Streaming giant Netflix is known for pumping out tons of shows. And in order for those shows to remain in production, Netflix needs to hit a certain number of viewers to make it worthwhile. Their business model is basically, “Let’s throw a ton of darts at the board and see what lands.” Sometimes, the show is a massive hit, like Stranger Things. Other times, a show gets canceled before it really has the chance to take off. It doesn’t matter if its season finale ended with a massive cliffhanger. If the numbers aren’t there, then that season finale is sure to become a series finale.
