The title character of Beetlejuice, also known as “Betelgeuse,” has long had a cult following from the 1988 movie that gave the famous ghost his start. Since then, fans have enjoyed seeing him, and might even been introduced to him, through other appearances, like the 1989 cartoon, which lasted four seasons, and the Broadway musical. For years, rumors told stories of a possible sequel, Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. However, the cult film would eventually gain a proper sequel in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
