“It’s an honor just to be nominated.” The public often hears that diplomatic answer from celebrities any time awards season rolls around. It’s usually followed by thanking the voting board and noting the talent of the other nominees. While it is likely a huge accomplishment to just be nominated, are they truly telling the truth when they imply winning doesn’t matter? Maybe if they were nominated once, it’s easy to brush it off.
