There are biopics like Bohemian Rhapsody or The Doors (one of Val Kilmer’s best movies), and there are musicals like Guys and Dolls. But, what about those music films that fall under neither camp? Movies that have adoration for the world (and industry) of music, but aren’t about a real-world figure or constantly reliant on big, catchy numbers.
