The Sound of Music is one of the most beloved musicals of all time. However, one thing that has been missing from the 1965 movie for almost 60 years is the original vocal performance of star Christopher Plummer on the song “Edelweiss.” That is about to change with a new release of the film’s soundtrack, which will include the first official release of Plummer’s version of the song. Someone who was quick to praise this was Star Wars legend Mark Hamill, who starred alongside Plummer in the 2017 animated movie Howard Lovecraft and the Undersea Kingdom.
