By this point, there have been a ton of comics properties adapted to the big screen (or small, but still with a decent budget). For the most part, they involve someone in a cape or cowl saving the day, going home for some chamomile tea, and getting ready for the next makeup-clad baddie to rear his or her ugly head. But every now and then, a movie takes a leap and adapts a horror comic. Some are still superhero stories, while others are straight up gore fests.
