Nintendo has delayed its live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, which was originally scheduled to be released on Mar. 26, 2027, but will now arrive on May 7, 2027. The news was shared on X/Twitter in a statement from Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator behind several of the company’s iconic video games, including the beloved fantasy franchise the upcoming film is based on. He cited “production reasons” for the change in the film’s release date, which comes just over two months after it found its slot on the theatrical calendar.
