When it was set for release in 2022, Babylon was looked at as a film destined for great reviews, box office success, and major awards season love. Given the pedigree behind it Oscar-winning director in Damien Chazelle, and Oscar-nominee and Oscar winner Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt among its leads Babylon should’ve been an easy sell, but it ultimately wasn’t. The film received mixed reviews at the time of its release, and it turned into a sizable box office loss for Paramount Pictures. Despite this, the film does have a slew of dedicated supporters who think the movie will be reevaluated years from now, and Robbie herself finds that to be true.
