2017 was awash with Stephen King film adaptations, from the fantasy western thriller The Dark Tower to the enormously successful IT. One film, however, managed to slip through the cracks. Released quietly and with little fanfare, Mike Flanagan’s Gerald’s Game seemed to materialize on Netflix three years ago, remaining largely unseen ever since.
