Remember those good old buddy action comedies from the 90s? So do we. Bad Boys, Rush Hour, and The Last Boy Scout are just a few that fill us with a deep sense of nostalgia, and from the looks of it, director Ilya Naishuller is a fan as well, based on the trailer for Prime Video’s new action comedy, Heads of State. Starring John Cena and Idris Elba, the film follows two world leaders who must set aside their rivalry to thwart a global conspiracy and save the world — if they can work together. If that doesn’t scream “buddy action comedy,” we don’t know what does.
