The app can collect the data provided by its over 17 million users to give a good aggregate rating for a film on its Letterboxd homepage. Because of such valuable data, Letterboxd has now revealed the most anticipated movie of 2025 (per its users) on the app, and it’s a surprising choice considering what’s left to hit theaters this year. A post from the official Letterboxd account revealed that 28 Years Later, the long-awaited zombie sequel from director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland, is now the most anticipated film of 2025 on the app.
