It’s a sadly all-too-common occurrence in the world of television. A once-fresh and exciting series starts running on fumes, and it becomes evident that it needs to end before it becomes a parody of itself (looking at you, How I Met Your Mother). Admittedly, rushing to a conclusion runs the risk of hurting the quality (Game of Thrones), but much more often than not, setting an end date does wonders in helping the plot momentum feel focused (Breaking Bad, Succession). In the best cases, it can help a meandering series once again feel exciting (Lost). All of this is to say that it’s clear that point is here for Yellowjackets.
