1923 icon Julia Schlaepfer has cemented herself as one of the top rising talents in the industry. The up-and-coming actress may have convincingly played a British aristocrat in Taylor Sheridan’s hit series, but she was born and bred in the United States. Schlaepfer grew up in the Seattle area, although she spent many of her winters and summers in the Colorado mountains with her family, which she calls her “happy place.” It was after a ballet injury during her junior year in high school that Schlaepfer discovered her passion for the craft, when her drama teacher at Lakeside School suggested she enroll in an acting program.
