Jon Bernthal’s return to the role of Frank Castle in Daredevil: Born Again was just one of the high points of Marvel’s revival of the former Netflix-based Defenders Saga. Now, not only is The Punisher part of the MCU, he is bringing back the same brutal, no-holds-barred approach to dealing with things that made the character one of Marvel’s most violent and controversial characters. Bernthal is also getting his own Disney+ special, but anyone expecting that things could be toned down for that shouldn’t worry.
