It’s a medium that’s entertained countless people over thousands of years. There’s an endless well of stories out there, many of them with established fanbases. And that’s a great thing for Hollywood. Over the years, film studios have acquired the rights to countless novels, bringing their stories and characters from the page to the big screen — though the adaptation isn’t always word for word.
