Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is the newest Disney+ animated series and reimagines the origin story for the wallcrawler, drawing from elements of the Tom Holland version as well as the classic Stan Lee/Steve Ditko comics and the Ultimate Spider-Man series from the 2000s. Hudson Thames, who previously voiced Peter Parker in What If…?, returns to voice the webhead in this newest Disney+ animated series. Early word of mouth on the series has been largely positive, promising a fresh new spin on the material, but Thames’s comments might make some fans more hesitant, while others now might be willing to give the series a chance despite having written it off for questionable reasons.
