In a recent interview with Cinema Blend, Wicked director Jon M. Chu gave a hilarious response to a question about the movie’s choreography. In the clip, Chu watches a pre-recorded question from friend and colleague Lin-Manuel Miranda, who playfully shades the director of copying some moves from In the Heights. Referring to the salon sequence in the song “One Short Day,” Miranda calls the nail choreography “suspiciously familiar” to the nail choreography from In the Heights.
