Fans of The Bachelor might remember a certain season a few years back, when longtime former host Chris Harrison made a messy exit from the show. Due to the controversy, retired NFL player-turned-media personality Emmanuel Acho stepped in to host a landmark episode in 2021, one that addressed certain issues tied to the female contestant who “the bachelor” ended up choosing to be his soulmate by season’s end. After all, Acho had already written a book called Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man, followed by hosting a podcast of the same name, and did a superb job handling the racism-laced subject matter in that pivotal Bachelor episode.
