The Blade Runner franchise received a long-awaited sequel in 2017 from Denis Villeneuve, and although it was hailed by many as another masterpiece, the film failed to make a splash at the box office. Since then, another big-screen installment has been out of the conversation, but audiences will be re-entering the futuristic neo-noir world soon enough. Amazon is currently developing Blade Runner 2099, a television series starring Michelle Yeoh that will serve as the latest sequel to Ridley Scott’s original 1982 classic.
