Mark Collie Details Marvel’s R-Rated ‘Punisher’ Villain 20 Years Later

Recent gems like Deadpool and Logan have proven that superhero films can still achieve massive success with a hard R-rating. One of the first Marvel superheroes that dabbled in the adults-only MPAA rating was the dark and vengeful Punisher, who was brought to life in 1989 by Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV) and then in 2004 by Thomas Jane (HBO’s Hung). The latter film is now celebrating its 20th anniversary, of course, and MovieWeb recently caught up with one of Jane’s co-stars about their throwback revenge flick. Veteran actor Mark Collie, who plays villain Harry Heck in The Punisher, spoke with us amid the release of his new series Landman and also dished about Heck’s potential future in the MCU as well as the more recent Punisher iterations.
