It’s almost Christmastime, and we all know what that means — 7,002 new original movies, with at least 90% of those coming from the Hallmark Channel. But there are those rare non-Hallmark Christmas movies out there. One of those is the new Jack Black pic, Dear Santa. It sounds like your typical cute holiday comedies. A kid writes a letter to Santa, and Santa appears to him. Only the kid in this movie misspells Santa as ‘Satan’ and accidentally summons the ruler of Hell. Still, it keeps up the family-friendly marketing. But what if this wasn’t the only movie with this plotline? And what if that other movie had the same title? And what if it was set for a release in the same year?
