Marvel’s X-Men film has been a long time coming. Rights to the X-Men team initially belonged to 20th Century Fox, and as a result, despite being one of Marvel’s most lucrative teams, the X-Men were never able to fully interact and immerse themselves with Kevin Feige’s plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fox’s projects centering on the mutants first kicked off in 2000 with Bryan Singer’s X-Men. The film comprised a star-studded cast, including Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, and Ian McKellen as Magneto.
