Grab a Corona and gather the family: one of modern Hollywoods biggest franchises just raced onto the worlds top streaming service. This week, the first six installments in the Fast and Furious franchise came to Netflix, giving longtime fans and newcomers alike the chance to continue living their lives a quarter-mile at a time. And these first six installments in particular display a fascinating evolution. The franchise started out as a Point Break homage, with street racing instead of surfacing, before getting bigger and more ridiculous each time. Today, it wouldnt be a stretch to call the franchise superhero films with muscle cars.
