Will Ferrell and Harper Steele were insistent that Netflix release their new documentary, Will & Harper, before the 2024 presidential election. The documentary follows comedians Ferrell and Steele, who met while working on Saturday Night Live, on a road trip across the United States shortly after Steele’s gender transition. The movie debuted at the 40th Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to incredibly strong reviews and was acquired by Netflix, where it premiered on September 27, 2024, notably six weeks before Election Day.
