Those who watched Ryan Murphys latest anthology series installment, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, have been divided. While the series has been popular on Netflix, not everyone appreciates some of Murphys creative license. Whatever the take, however, one thing is tough to debate: Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch, who play Lyle and Erik, respectively, have delivered mesmerizing performances as the brothers at the center of the trial. They both tackle the nuanced performances of the two, who both committed a heinous act in killing their parents and sat on the stand recalling harrowing stories of alleged abuse they suffered at the hands of their father, Jose (Javier Bardem).
