Vampires have played a significant role in several of Stephen Kings novels and short stories, including his Dark Tower series. However, when most fans think of King and vampires, they think of his most famous use of the mythical monsters 1975’s Salems Lot. Salems Lot was only the second book he ever published, but it is also considered by many to be one of his best and scariest. That is, perhaps, why there have already been two adaptations of this novel, one from 1979 and one from 2004. The newest film based on Kings book is coming out at the beginning of this Halloween season, with Salems Lot 2024 premiering October 3rd on the streaming service Max.
