GLOW Ended Before Answering These Big Questions

GLOW, a comedy-drama series created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, was first released to Netflix on June 23, 2017. The show, which followed the lives and budding wrestling careers of 15 women, was inspired by the real-life wrestling show The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, which ran from 1986 to 1992. Although GLOW boasted an impressive ensemble cast full of talented and compelling actors, the main focus of the show was arguably on Alison Brie’s Ruth Wilder. Ruth serves as the protagonist, and is the character through whom the audience gets to know the world of ’80s LA, and, as the series progresses, the world of professional wrestling.
