Nicolas Cage will lead the eagerly-anticipated, live-action Spider-Man Noir series which is drawing inspiration from the ‘Golden Age’ of comics, according to the actor. Based on an underappreciated version of Spider-Man in Marvel Comics, Spider-Man Noir is a 1940s-inspired detective, who also does whatever a spider can. Cage first voiced the role in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the Oscar-winning animated film. Cage’s casting was perfect, and fans were immediately calling for Cage (a long-time comic book fan and collector) to portray Spider-Man Noir in live-action. The live-action series (being produced by Prime Video) has been on the cards for some time now, and Cage just gave fans the biggest update yet.
