Why are Thanksgiving and Christmas Episodes so Comforting?

When you watch a TV series, it is natural to compare yourself to some of the characters in certain situations. Whether that be with their romantic relationships, their friendships, their jobs, or simply how they handle a certain incident — the “what would I do” or “how would I feel” thought crosses our minds pretty consistently. While most episodes are filled with the same main people going about their relatable daily struggles in the same three or four locations, it is nice when things get shaken up a bit as the holiday season rolls around on set.
