The Blackening became the sleeper horror comedy hit of the summer after it was released back in June 2023, grossing over $18 million dollars against a budget of only $5 million, and now it looks as if a sequel is in the works that will see original writers Tracy Oliver and Dewayne Perkins pen the screenplay.
