David Letterman Met With Standing Ovation as He Returns to The Late Show as Guest

Late-night legend David Letterman returned to the Ed Sullivan Theater for The Late Show, but this time, the former late-night host was there as a guest. This marks Letterman’s first on-set visit following his 2015 exit as The Late Show’s host. Stephen Colbert, who took over as The Late Show host in September 2015, introduced Letterman (who certainly needed no introduction), who was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd who quickly rose to their feet and chanted his name.
