In the previous episode of Lawmen: Bass Reeves, the legendary lawman was appointed Deputy U.S. Marshal and assigned to his first mission. He proved right from the start that he intends to do his job with honor, no matter the cost. Episode four begins with a two-year time jump. Reeves is now more experienced than before, has a new posse, and has earned a bounty on his head. Considering the circumstances, that probably means he’s doing his job right.
